Sunbury and Spelthorne leisure centres – operated by Everyone Active in partnership with Spelthorne Borough Council – have both been awarded ‘excellent’ statuses by Quest following rigorous two-day assessments. This is the highest award that can be granted through the Quest Plus Process.
The Quest process comprises a thorough, in-depth assessment of every aspect of a centre’s operations and management over two days. Inspectors visited Sunbury and Spelthorne Leisure Centres to evaluate: health and safety, swimming lessons, environment, customer experience, staff, cleansing and housekeeping.
Quest is the UK quality scheme for sport and leisure and is designed to define industry standards and good practice in leisure centres. It encourages their on-going development and delivery within a customer focused management framework.
“The Quest assessment is a tough two day process and we’re thrilled to have been awarded the ‘excellent’ status at both sites,” says Everyone Active Contract Manager Karl Miles. “The accolade is a testament to our commitment to providing the best service and experience possible for our customers. I’d like to thank all the staff at Sunbury Leisure Centre and Spelthorne Leisure Centre for their hard work and dedication. They are truly deserving of this fantastic achievement.”
Cllr Penny Forbes-Forsyth, Cabinet Member for community safety, young people, leisure and culture, said: “We are delighted that both Spelthorne and Sunbury Leisure Centres have achieved excellent in their Quest assessments. This recognises the exceptional service that Everyone Active, working in partnership with the Council, offer to our local residents. Well done to everyone involved.”
